Projects

  1. Ratel

Ratel is an efficient distributed spatial data management system based on Spark for analyzing large-scale trajectories. We show three kinds of scenarios - bus station planning, route recommendation, and transportation analytics. Demo attendees can interact with a web UI, pose different queries on the dataset, and navigate the query result.

  2. DISON

DISON is an efficient distributed spatial data managemnet system for trajectory simialrity search and join on road networks. Extensive experiments on real datasets showed that DISON achieved high effectiveness, efficiency, and scalability and outperformed existing solutions significantly.

  3. CDB

CDB is a crowd-powered database system that supports crowd-based query optimizations with focus on join and selection. CDB has fundamental differences from existing systems. First, CDB employs a graph-based query model that provides more fine-grained query optimization. Second, CDB adopts a unified framework to perform the multi-goal optimization based on the graph model. We have implemented our system and deployed it on Amazon Mechanical Turk, CrowdFlower and ChinaCrowd.
